Hubbuy Restricted Items Guide: Batteries, Liquids and Route Checks

A purchasable product is not automatically an internationally shippable product

Hubbuy publicly describes purchasing Chinese products, receiving them at a warehouse, providing inspection images and combining accepted items for international shipping. That sequence creates two separate decisions. A seller may be able to deliver an item domestically to the warehouse while the packed item still has no eligible route to your country.

Before paying, identify what the item physically contains—not just its marketplace category. A lamp may include a battery, a cosmetic may contain alcohol, and an ordinary accessory may include liquid or powder. These details can change handling and available carriers.

The safe rule is blunt: if Hubbuy’s live interface or current support cannot confirm a suitable route for the exact item and destination, do not assume that warehouse arrival will solve the problem.

Separate four layers that are often collapsed into one warning label

Prohibited goods are the first stop. The public HubbuyCN shipping policy lists categories such as explosive, flammable, corrosive, radioactive or toxic hazardous items, currency, perishable goods and other articles unsuitable for mail. It also says destination-country prohibitions and customs rules still apply. A different packing request does not make a prohibited item acceptable.

Dangerous goods create a safety risk and may require classification, limited quantities or special packaging. The Universal Postal Union names everyday examples including lithium batteries, perfume and cleaning fluids. Narrow exceptions exist, but acceptance depends on the operator and applicable aviation rules.

Route-limited goods may be transportable only through particular lines. Hubbuy’s public freight calculator asks for a product type as well as destination, weight and dimensions, and includes categories for pure batteries, batteries installed in equipment, liquids, paste, powder, food, medicine and branded goods. Those labels show why a price result for “common goods” cannot answer a battery question.

Destination-restricted goods can pass a carrier check and still fail an import rule. Customs, product regulation, intellectual-property law and local safety requirements belong to the receiving country. A visible shipping option is not an import permit or a promise of clearance.

Build a transport description from evidence, not the seller title

Open the live seller page and record the exact variant. Save specifications that reveal any battery, liquid, powder, magnet, blade, aerosol or pressurized container. For electronics, record whether the battery is built in, packed with the device or sold separately. Preserve a visible capacity or chemistry label instead of estimating it.

Do not hide a sensitive component to make an order form accept the item. An incomplete description can produce the wrong route and withhold safety information. If the seller cannot provide a battery or ingredient detail needed for the decision, pause.

Run the route check twice: before purchase and after packing

The first check is a go/no-go screen. Use Hubbuy’s current estimator or support channel with the exact product type and destination. Save the date, description and response. An estimate shows that a route appeared at that moment; it is not a reservation, final quote or availability guarantee.

The second check happens with the real parcel. By then Hubbuy has the item, inspection evidence, packed weight, dimensions and the other contents you plan to consolidate. Re-run eligibility because one sensitive item can change the route set for every ordinary item in the box. Compare a combined parcel with a split if the restricted product removes otherwise suitable lines.

The public HubbuyCN forwarding agreement says the warehouse checks forwarded parcels for forbidden items and may mark products that do not meet air-shipment requirements, then notify the customer about return matters. That is a reason to check early, not a promise that every seller will accept a return or that the process will be free.

Batteries and liquids need precise questions, not a universal yes or no

A battery installed in a small device is not the same transport case as a loose cell or power bank. Capacity, condition, quantity and packaging can matter, while carrier and destination restrictions differ. UPU guidance says posts can accept devices containing lithium batteries only under specified conditions and only when the postal operator is authorized. That does not mean every Hubbuy line accepts them.

Liquids are equally broad. Craft paint, perfume, nail product, adhesive and cleaning fluid do not share one hazard profile. Alcohol content, flammability, aerosol pressure and destination rules may control the result. The public calculator marks liquid and paste as sensitive categories, but that is not approval for a specific product.

Food, medicine, cosmetics and branded goods can introduce both carrier restrictions and import-law questions. Do not rely on a forum claim that one buyer shipped something similar. Ask Hubbuy about the current route, then check an authoritative destination source when permits, ingredients, intellectual property or personal-use limits could matter.

Choose one of four outcomes before paying international freight

1. Ship on an eligible route. The item description is accurate, the live route accepts it and the destination check is complete.
2. Split the parcel. Separate the route-limited item when it would remove sensible options for ordinary goods.
3. Resolve one missing fact. Request a readable battery label, ingredient information or support confirmation when that fact can change eligibility.
4. Do not submit it. Stop when the item is prohibited, materially misdescribed or has no confirmed compliant route.

Preserve the classification and route record through delivery

Save the item description, seller specification, warehouse images, support answer, route name, declared contents, packed weight and parcel submission. If the carrier or customs asks a question, answer accurately and keep the correspondence. Do not invent a value or description to avoid a restriction.

After delivery, photograph exterior damage before opening and inspect a battery-powered, liquid or fragile item carefully. International transport eligibility does not prove that the product functions, did not leak or matches every seller claim.
